We booked the room as a place to sleep after an all day festival. It was 1am before we checked in. The service was excellent... Polite, friendly and quick. I asked for extra towels and he gave them to me on the spot. The room was clean and welcoming. The location was pretty and quiet. The next morning we woke to a lovely breakfast by the pool, with fresh waffles, muffins, bagels, fruit, etc. It saved us the cost of a restaurant. The price was outstanding. It was a bit far to go considering the location of the venue, but that was my fault for not booking earlier. I was desperate for a room, and was pleasently surprised at what I found. I will definitely consider it for next year.
The Vagabond Inn was very affordable, clean and well located. We enjoyed the continental breakfast which was iincluded in the price. The decor of our room was a little dated but the room was relatively large, bathroom newly refurbished and it contained a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker.
There was some traffic noise at night but it wasn't too bad.
Great value...good room at a reasonable price in an expensive town.
Breakfast facility was very small... inadequte to handle the number of guests.
Lobby very clean and open. Nice and helpful staff. Rooms have all the essential accommodations. Ac was not great but it worked. Pool open til 11pm breakfast in the morning. I had a comfortable experience overall just what I was looking for.
It was no big deal but the Tv didn't turn on.
This was the best motel I ever stayed in the US.The rooms were nicely furnished, had even a table, a fridge and a microwave. The pool was quite huge and pretty. Most of all I liked the breakfast at the pool area. It had bread, cornflakes, fresh waffles, eggs, apples and also sweet stuff. Also the staff was very nice. We had to change our booking and it was really helpful. I can recommend this motel to everybody, also for families it will be great.
customer service, not clean, needs an overhaul.
Good-sized, comfortable room with everything we needed. Good pool and breakfast. Excellent value for money. Some good places to eat nearby.
Background noise from various pieces of machinery / fans and air- con units ( not our own ) were the only issue. Only apparent when we were ready for sleep and the tv turned off.
Very relaxing (apart from the Harley Davidson weekend!!). The Hotel was generally quiet which suited us. Excellent breakfast, Cleaning staff + reception staff friendly and helpful. All assisted by superb weather.
Friendly, excellent value for money Comfortable well equipped rooms Good breakfast
Slightly erratic WiFi; dropped out frequently
It was not far from everything we wanted to go to. Had everything we wanted in a room ,( comfort, ice box, TV, good water presser. )
Would like to have been on ground floor but otherwise very good
slight odor in a room
I liked everything except one major setback about my stay at the Vagabond. I would like to mention the staff was exelent, friendly and always helpful.
It was advertised I would have wi-fi reception at the Vagabond and I did not. what little, and very poor reception I did get was from the best Western next door. I had a college paper due online while I was saying in Palm Springs and I was unable to complete and submit my paper. This has caused me a grave setback in my University coursework.
The staff was rude, not helpful, the crowd that surrounded the hotel was extremely ghetto, the room was so filthy they need to hire a real maid service to clean, there was a bug in the bed when we pulled back the sheets, I asked for a refund and was not able to get it. This was the worst hotel to stay in.
I liked the pool area and the shape of the pool. There was a generous number of lounge chairs around the pool. I liked the breakfast. I liked having the sink area separated from the shower. The lobby smelled good and the entrance was inviting. Breakfast hours were good....some hotels end at 9a.m. That is too early. I liked having old-school metal keys with the room numbers on them. The bedroom table was large and conveniently placed by the window where it is light.
The beds were quite hard. I did have a back ache when I woke up, even though I brought my own sponge-like pad. There was not a place to put toiletries in the shower without bending down each time one was used.
